The Airport Klagenfurt (IATA: KLU, ICAO: LOWK/LOXK) is a small international airport in the Austrian federal state of Carinthia.
The airport is located in the borough of Annabichl, only three kilometers from the city centre of Klagenfurt.
You can access the airport by shuttle or city bus from Klagenfurt central station.
The Airport Klagenfurt was established as military airbase for the first world war in 1914. The first comercial flight connections in 1925 were made to todays Slovenian capital Ljubljana, Venice and Vienna.
The airport was enlarged the first time in 1958. Time and time again the airport is going to be improved and expanded since today.
